WPS at EuroLED Exhibition

Through hole and surface mount capability demonstrated on Stand 57/58, June 3/4 Ricoh Arena, Coventry

Hastings, June 2009…At EuroLED 2009, Wilson Process Systems (WPS), the leading contract manufacturer, will be demonstrating its volume LED mounting capabilities for both traditional through hole and surface mount designs.

WPS has significant contracts with UK manufacturers of traffic lights, motorway and roadside signage, which involves handling in excess of 20 million LEDS per year. To fulfil these contracts the company has invested in equipment to mount both leaded and surface mount LEDs, most recently increasing its processing capacity of through-hole LEDs to 30,000 components per hour. The new equipment allows radial LEDs to be mounted at any angle on the board, offering great flexibility to LED light system designers.

The company has also invested in additional premises to accommodate its existing and new surface mount equipment, increasing its capacity to over 125,000 component placements per hour as well as improving our capabilities in terms of accuracy in placing fine-pitch devices.
