PCB Assembly

Our Surface Mount factory contains five lines, giving us a capacity of almost a quarter of a million component placements per hour and the flexibility to produce prototypes through to high volume production batch quantities.

Our 2 Universal Fuzion XC2 Pick and Place machines enable us to offer fully-automated assembly of PCBs up to 1300mm x 500mm.

Our machines are capable of placing down to 01005 packages as well as BGAs and fine pitch devices.

Our latest acquisition is a Universal Fuzion OF1-11B Oddform machine, which as well as having full Surface Mount assembly capabilities, can be programmed to place a full array of odd-form components, including through-hole connectors, sockets, transformers, heatsinks, RF shields and many other component types, which greatly increases the speed, accuracy and repeatability of assembling these components.

Our post-reflow 3D and 2D AOI systems inspect every board post Surface Mount.

They are designed to find faults but more importantly provide feedback to refine the surface mount assembly process. They add to your assurance of circuit functionality by offering both 2D and 3D AOI approaches in Tandem making the best uses of both methods which provide the highest level of QA in today’s ever advancing manufacturing environments.

WPS Through-hole technology is deployed in many critical electronic assemblies.

Through-hole technology is deployed in many critical electronic assemblies. It is commonplace in power supplies and ruggedized electronic modules. At WPS we also have specialist expertise and experience of through-hole LED assembly, with a capacity of 30,000 component insertions per hour. Our capability is supported by automated insertion equipment that delivers consistent assembly performance.
